What Personal Information About Customers Does Samson-Connect.net Gather?

The database makes it possible to operate the service offered by the SAMSON Connect website. SAMSON Connect enables the distribution of the SAMSON software platform and the associated modules (called SAMSON Elements). We need to associate the installed modules to the users who install SAMSON. Here are the types of information we gather:

  1. Information You Give Us: we receive and store any information you enter on our website, including a first name, last name, email address, organization, password, a profile picture and the reason to join that you enter when you create an account. We also store the list of SAMSON Elements (modules) that you add to your SAMSON installation. We also store new SAMSON Elements you might add as a developer. Finally, SAMSON also offers the user the possibility to voluntarily send execution reports, and we store these execution reports.
  2. Automatic Information: we receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. For example, like many websites, we use "cookies" and we obtain certain types of information when your web browser accesses Samson-Connect.net. We also store the IP address used, the OS for which you download SAMSON and / or the SAMSON SDK, as well as the time at which SAMSON connects to the SAMSON Connect website to determine whether SAMSON Elements should be updated, installed, or removed. To provide a better service we store and analyse data which are sent by SAMSON when it connects to the SAMSON Connect website: number of sessions, usage time, crash logs if they were sent to us, as well as usage of SAMSON Elements and SAMSON functionalities. This helps us improve SAMSON and SAMSON Elements.

If you communicate with us regarding our products or services, we will collect any information that you provide to us in any such communication.

We do not collect any sensitive information about you, i.e. no information about race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, political or philosophical opinions, memberships to syndicates, health or sexual orientation. If such information were communicated to us, we would delete it.

Your personal data are kept for a period of time that is in accordance with legal provisions, or proportional to the purposes for which they were recorded. All of your personal data is kept for five years after you last signed in to your account. In any case, we regularly review the information we hold. When their retention is no longer justified by legal, commercial or customer management reasons, or if you exercise your deletion rights, we will delete them securely.
