Build a graphene model from a TEM image
This extension allows you to build a graphene model from a transmission electron microscopy (TEM) image of graphene.
The reconstructed model can then be used to produce images for publications, to analyze properties, and perform simulations.
Usage
- Click 'Open image...' to select an image file. The app automatically attempts to detect atoms positions and guess the size of the surface patch in the image.
- Adjust the atom radius to match the one of atoms in the image (in pixels). The app automatically updates the atoms positions and surface size.
- Adjust the sensitivity to find more or less atoms.
- Click on the image to add / remove atoms.
- Click 'Generate surface' to produce a structural model in the document.
Supported image file formats
Supported image file formats are bmp, gif, jpg, jpeg, png, pbm, pgm, ppm, xbm and xpm.
Graphene Image Analyzer is an extension for SAMSON,
the integrated platform for molecular design.
