Import and export 3D models in glTF format.
This extension allows for importing objects from glTF files as meshes in SAMSON and exporting atomistic structures into glTF files from SAMSON.
Importing glTF files is possible with the Starter Plan, but exporting requires the Professional Plan.
Once in SAMSON, meshes can be moved, rescaled, and recolored.
Supported formats: glTF.
Note: this extension is in beta-stage and does not yet support all the features of the glTF format. For example, surfaces exported from visual models and meshes might not be supported by other software since their colorization is not yet exported as textures but as a set of colors.
This extension uses the yocto-gl library.
glTF Importer and Exporter is an extension for SAMSON,
the integrative platform for molecular design.
To use glTF Importer and Exporter:
1. Create your free account
and choose a molecular design plan

2. Download
and install SAMSON on your computer
|
|
3. Subscribe to a Professional or Enterprise plan
|
|
When you restart SAMSON, the extension will be automatically installed
and will be usable directly from within SAMSON.
